We teach the training methods and philosophies that were originally practiced in the Southern Shaolin Temple in the Fujian district of South China.

Today, there are many Shaolin kung fu schools. Almost all will teach the basic Shaolin stances, strikes and animal forms. Some schools have developed to specialise in a particular animal style.

Our system will suit both male and female students regardless of age or fitness levels.

The art is suitable for students who wish to take their martial arts skill to the highest possible level.

It is a realistic self-defence system which has survived the tests of time. The art itself does not rely on brute strength for its effectiveness.

The Fujian Shaolin Tiger and Crane art is one the best martial arts system available today and it is its diversity which is what makes the art so attractive to our students. With many empty hand and weapon forms, internal and external training.

The White Crane system is so effective it is often referred to as the pinnacle of Shaolin “Kung Fu”. Which can also be pronounced "Gong Fu".

The FMA was founded in 1999 and began teaching Southern Shaolin Kung Fu in 2001.

Our entrance is situated on King Street with easy parking in the many side streets on either side. Once you've climbed the stairs to our reception with viewing lounge you will soon see why our students enjoy training with us. With around 4,000 sq ft of training space and fully carpeted there is ample room for everyone to train.
